see、look、watch、read都有看的意思，他們的用法有什麼不同呢?

除了看，還有哪些容易讓人混淆的動詞?

listen是刻意的聽、有意識的聽，強調聽的動作，最需要注意的是listen是不及物動詞，

如果要表示聽的對象或收聽的事物，要記得使用listen to + sb./sth.。

【例】

listen to the radio 收聽音機

Okay, listen up, guys. We need to talk about the use of the prize.

好了，各位聽我說。我們需要討論一下這筆獎金要如何使用。

Emma, why don’t you listen to me this time?Emma, 你這次何不聽我的一回?

【補充】

listen to 有聽取某人意見的意思，但是當我們說「你別聽他的，沒這回事」時，

使用的卻不是listen to ，而應該用相信(believe)來表達：

Don't listen to what he said. No such thing. (X)Don't believe him. No such thing. (O)

hear指的是聽到、聽說，不一定是有意識的或刻意的去聽，而是自然而然聽到的，

更強調聽的結果。hear後面接子句，表示聽說某事。

【例】

Can you hear the noise? 你有聽到聲音嗎?

Can you hear me? 你能聽見我說話嗎？

I heard that Ann is going to marry.  我聽說Ann就要結婚了。

【補充】

(1) hear of和hear about的差別：

hear of表示聽過某人或事，也就是知道某人或某事的存在，而hear about則是聽說有關某人或某事的事情，

或是發生在某物或某人上的事情，但並不是本身的存在，來看看下面例子比較一下吧！

Have you heard of the singer Jay Chou? 你聽過周杰倫這個歌手嗎?

Have you heard about Jay Chou's wedding? 你聽說有關周杰倫結婚的事了嗎?

(2) 一樣「聽力」不同意義：

聽力在中文裡不同上下文造成不同意義，有可能是表示聽懂的能力，也有可能是聽見的能力，

而這兩種聽力在英文裡也不同喔！聽懂、理解的能力應該用listening，聽見的能力則是用hearing，一起來看看以下例句，比較一下吧！

I'd like to improve my Japanese listening comprehension.我想加強我的日文聽力。

I have a hearing problem.我有聽力方面的問題。

sound做名詞是表示聲音、聲響，而動詞的意思則是聽起來...，後面常接形容詞。

【例】

Your idea sounds good.

這個主意不錯。

tell指的是某個人「告訴」對方一件事或一個故事，是單向的表達，如：

【例】

Jackson told the police how the accident happened.

Jackson告訴警察這個事故是怎麼發生的。

talk是「互相」討論一件事或是「彼此」交談時使用，因此在中文的意義為對話、談話，

常見的用法有talk to/with sb. 和某人說話、talk about sth. 談論某事。

【例】

The manager wants to talk to you. Please go to her office right away.

經理有話跟你說。請你馬上去她的辦公室。

We are going to talk about our new marketing strategy in the meeting.

我們將在會議中討論新的行銷策略。

3. say

say一般用在一個人講了什麼話，或是在書、信、報章雜誌、告示牌中提供、報導了什麼樣的內容，

著重在表達的「內容」，另外say也有據說的意思，常見用法有：It is said (that) + 子句、People/They say (that) + 子句。

【例】It is said that he has been married twice.

據說他曾經結婚兩次。

這在英語中怎麼說？

【補充】

You can say that again. 字面上是你可以再說一次，

延伸用法其實是指完全同意對方說的話，也就是"I agree with you." 的意思，

speak最常見的用法是指一個人可以說某種或多種語言，也可以用在講電話時表示誰誰誰正在講話。

【例】

Diana can speak more than one language.

Diana可以說超過一種語言。

This is Fiona speaking.

我是Fiona。(電話中)

see中文意義為看見、看到，也可以用在明白、了解，如：I see，表示我知道了。

【例】

Can you see the taxi coming? We are going to be late.

妳有看到計程車過來嗎? 我們快要遲到了。

look表示的是集中目光往目標的方向看，一般常見用法為look at sb.，另外look也有其他常見的片語，如：

【例】

Mom, I’m looking for my socks. Do you know where they are?

媽，我在找我的襪子。妳知道他們在哪嗎?

Look at me when I am talking to you

我在跟你說話的時候要看著我。

watch也是集中注意力看，但是看的時間更長，例如：看電影、看影片、看演出等。

【例】

I usually watch movies on holiday .

我通常在放假時看電影。

read則是讀、看的意思，常見說法有看書、看信、看報紙、看雜誌等。

Dad always reads English newspapers before breakfast.

爸爸總是在早餐前看英文報紙。
